Title : Delightfully Haiku
Detailed Review : Donna Smith’s lovely Haiku collection expresses the world encompassing us, evoking in the reader the feelings and emotions of everyday life. I can just taste those succulent strawberries (and cream) in 'Strawberries'. And the Haiku 'Japan' whisks me to Japan’s sidewalks during cherry blossom time.
Delightfully Haiku is not only suitable for lovers of poetry, especially Haiku, but would definitely be embraced by teachers and children from middle primary level. It would also be a wonderful resource for any poetry workshop.
Delightfully Haiku inspires us to pause and enjoy the simple things in life, and life’s special moments that are everywhere.
This collection is edited by author Sally Odgers, and the front cover by artist, Matthew Shires, beautifully depicts traditional Japan.

Title : Detailed Review : Delightfully Haiku is a lovely little gift book. Unlike many pocket-sized books, this one is paperbacked, which makes it easy to slip into an envelope for posting. It's an unusual and quirky little publication suited to a wide range of recipients. It would make a delightful party favour or gift at a Christening, Engagement or Naming. It reminds me of one of those beautiful little cakes in a patisserie, but it won't add to your waistline.

Title : Detailed Review : Delightfully Haiku is well presented in a format that has high readability. The book's readership is suitable for adults and children. The language descriptions used give the reader a clear visual image, a snapshot of everyday life. The cover is eye catching. The painting depicts a traditional Japanese theme which fits the overall product really well. This is a great collaboration by author and artist. As the authors first independent Haiku collection; I feel the book size was thought through carefully. The postcard size compliments this collection splendidly.
Well priced at $14.95 as many other Haiku collections retail for $28-$32.00. Overall, a beautiful little book.
