Melbourne had reserved a singularly balmy afternoon for the 1979 VFA Second Division Grand Final at Toorak Park. An afternoon destined to become the most notable in the History of the Camberwell Football Club. On that memorable September afternoon Camberwell won its first senior premiership since its admittance to the Association in 1926.
